Prussian author E。 T。 A。 Hoffmann wrote The Nutcracker [and the Mouse King] in 1816。 The magical story tells how young Marie Stahlbaum's adored Christmas toy， the Nutcracker， comes alive and， after defeating the evil Mouse King in battle， whisks her away to a magical kingdom populated by dolls。 The story was later adapted by the prolific French author， Alexandre Dumas， and in 1892， Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky with choreographers Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov turned Dumas's adaptation of the story into the ballet The Nutcracker which has become greatly beloved and most frequently performed of all ballets。

I can only imagine how much the English translation must suck because I don‘t think someone would be able to translate the complexity of such a story and its language。The story is pretty much Hoffmann and the reader can clearly sense his repetitive motives; the puppets， the scary characters （Coppelius in The Sandman， Archivarius in The Golden Pot and Drosselmeier here） and the main character‘s delusion。 But the story doesn‘t appear to be boring at all。 Especially the fairytale makes the whole wo I can only imagine how much the English translation must suck because I don‘t think someone would be able to translate the complexity of such a story and its language。The story is pretty much Hoffmann and the reader can clearly sense his repetitive motives; the puppets， the scary characters （Coppelius in The Sandman， Archivarius in The Golden Pot and Drosselmeier here） and the main character‘s delusion。 But the story doesn‘t appear to be boring at all。 Especially the fairytale makes the whole work itself look like a nut; it all builds up to the climax， which happens to be the inserted fairytale in the middle， while the beginning and the end lay around it like a shell。 Hoffmann really showed off。 Would highly recommend reading this if you‘re into romantic literature。 。。。more

The Nutcracker and The Mouse King， a classic book written by E。T。A。 Hoffmann。 This book is where the ballet The Nutcracker is based on。 One of the first gifts I received as a child， was a movie adaptation of The Nutcracker， with the sound composed by Tchaikovsky for the ballet。 I loved the story， the dance， the music。 Now I finally read the original novel。 I listened to the audiobook with a full cast of narrators。 Each character had its own narration， which made it sound like I was listening to The Nutcracker and The Mouse King， a classic book written by E。T。A。 Hoffmann。 This book is where the ballet The Nutcracker is based on。 One of the first gifts I received as a child， was a movie adaptation of The Nutcracker， with the sound composed by Tchaikovsky for the ballet。 I loved the story， the dance， the music。 Now I finally read the original novel。 I listened to the audiobook with a full cast of narrators。 Each character had its own narration， which made it sound like I was listening to a theatre production。 The story came to life from the pages。 The short novel was told as a bedtime story， full of wonder and magic。 The music in the background added to that wonderful feeling when I watched the ballet。I recommend this classic novel to everyone。 If you like the classics， the ballet or have even heard of the Nutcracker， then definitely read it。 。。。more

Imagina recibir tus regalos de navidad querido Bookle 📚❤️y vivir grandes aventuras al lado de ellos。Tenía ganas de terminar el año de manera navideña así que está fue mi última lectura del 2021 y quedé muy satisfecha， es una lectura ligera， puede leerse a niños pequeños aunque hay algunas palabras difíciles de comprender que vienen al final de está edición para poder entender de manera correcta lo que el escritor quería decir， es una lectura llena de magia， en la cuál dos pequeños hermanos Marie Imagina recibir tus regalos de navidad querido Bookle 📚❤️y vivir grandes aventuras al lado de ellos。Tenía ganas de terminar el año de manera navideña así que está fue mi última lectura del 2021 y quedé muy satisfecha， es una lectura ligera， puede leerse a niños pequeños aunque hay algunas palabras difíciles de comprender que vienen al final de está edición para poder entender de manera correcta lo que el escritor quería decir， es una lectura llena de magia， en la cuál dos pequeños hermanos Marie y Fritz esperan la llegada del niño Jesús con sus regalos en este caso los juguetes que se les darían por ser tan buenos， en el cuál llegaría un bello cascanueces a sus vidas y quién transformaría la vida de la pequeña Marie al vivir experiencias de batalla combatiendo al Rey de los Ratones y al visitar el castillo de mazapán hogar de nuestro bello cascanueces， no dejé de imaginar los lugares que ella visitaba， las arduas batallas， sin duda me gustó mucho; solo no me gustó que en un punto de la historia tratan a la pequeña Marie de tonta literalmente escrito a mi parecer debieron escribir otras palabras aunque claro está， que en ese entonces， ese lenguaje no era mal visto， recordando que fué escrito en 1816。 Yo buscaría una edición con dibujos para leersela a un pequeño ya para un adolescente está bien que disfrute está edición。Recomendada queridos bookles📚❤️ un clásico de navidad que te explica el origen de estos bellos cascanueces con mágicas historias incluidas。Calificación: ⭐⭐⭐⭐。5 4。5/5✅📚🇲🇽Sigueme en: instagram， facebook y tiktok como: el_bookle 。。。more

Quella dello Schiaccianoci è una fiaba ai più conosciuta: trasformati in Schiaccianoci da una maledizione， un nobile principe affronta il re dei topi e lo sconfigge， per poi trovare l'amore e ritornare umano， il tutto nel periodo di Natale。Ecco， la fiaba raccontata da E。T。A。 Hoffman non è proprio questa e tutti gli adattamenti fatti negli anni sono un over semplification di quella che è realmente la storia。 Vero che la fiaba inizia a Natale， ma non da subito racconta di uno Schiaccianoci， quanto Quella dello Schiaccianoci è una fiaba ai più conosciuta: trasformati in Schiaccianoci da una maledizione， un nobile principe affronta il re dei topi e lo sconfigge， per poi trovare l'amore e ritornare umano， il tutto nel periodo di Natale。Ecco， la fiaba raccontata da E。T。A。 Hoffman non è proprio questa e tutti gli adattamenti fatti negli anni sono un over semplification di quella che è realmente la storia。 Vero che la fiaba inizia a Natale， ma non da subito racconta di uno Schiaccianoci， quanto di due fratelli， Mary e Fritz。 Quando i due， la notte di Natale， ricevono in regalo dal padrino Drosslmaier uno Schiaccianoci da lui intagliato， la fiaba， più simile a quella che conosciamo， inizia a dipanarsi。 Si tratta di metaletteratura allo stato brado， con il narratore， che pensiamo essere Hoffman stesso， che si rivolge ai suoi giovani lettori， il padrino che si trova nella storia di Mary così come in quella dello Schiaccianoci e Mary stesa che finisce per trovarsi a cavallo del mondo verosimile e di quello fiabesco。 Una fiaba che ho particolarmente apprezzato per la sua complessità e articolazione strutturale che si accostano però a una trama semplice e accattivante。 Consiglio spassionatamente il libro。 。。。more

Una narración clásica que ha quedado en el imaginario colectivo， pero se tiene una idea en general del mismo， ya al leer la obra se tiene un panorama más claro del por qué ha transcendido en el tiempo y el impacto que ha tenido en la cultura general， pues se relaciona la imagen del cascanueces con la navidad， si es una narración tierna con mucha fantasía， que se podría comprar el Maravilloso mago de Oz y Alicia en el país de las maravillas， pero me parece un poco lento， ya que en los capítulos f Una narración clásica que ha quedado en el imaginario colectivo， pero se tiene una idea en general del mismo， ya al leer la obra se tiene un panorama más claro del por qué ha transcendido en el tiempo y el impacto que ha tenido en la cultura general， pues se relaciona la imagen del cascanueces con la navidad， si es una narración tierna con mucha fantasía， que se podría comprar el Maravilloso mago de Oz y Alicia en el país de las maravillas， pero me parece un poco lento， ya que en los capítulos finales tenemos toda la exploración del mundo fantástico， que en comparación con toras obras se tiene a partir de los primeros capítulos， pero la dinámica que se tiene durante gran parte de la obra， sobre que la protagonista está en su casa teniendo los avistamientos mágicos y repentinos con el cascanueces y el rey de los ratones， mantiene la intriga del lector pero por demasiado tiempo， no es un libro que recomendaría para niños al ser poco dinámico， pero si ya se tiene la curiosidad por la obra o ser un fanático del valet que adapto la obra u de alguna otra adaptación， se pude disfrutar sin ningún problema， además que su extensión y facilidad de lectura le suman pontos extras。 。。。more

Nie poznałam tej historii jako dziecko， więc brakuje mi sentymentu。 Czytanie jej jako dorosła osoba nie przynosi aż tylu emocji ile mogłaby， gdybym wciąż była dzieckiem， ale ma coś w sobie。 Duży plus za przekaz i brak irytujących bohaterów。
